Empowering Your Mental Health

Occupational therapist supporting a client during a walking activity

What is Occupational Therapy?

Occupational therapists support people to do the things they want, need or have to do. This includes work, study, hobbies, parenting, budgeting, shopping, cooking, developing a routine and more. Occupational Therapists assess the supports you need to help you do the things that are important to you, whilst working with you to bring out your strengths.

For example, a person with Schizophrenia may find it difficult to get motivation to engage in activities that are meaningful to them. An occupational therapist would work with them to understand what specifically is holding them back from being motivated and support them to develop a routine (including understanding sensory preferences, exploring new hobbies or interests and more).

We work with:

  • NDIS participants (self-managed and plan-managed) under Capacity Building – Improved Daily Living

All services are trauma-informed, evidence-based and person-centred.
